As a Marketing & User Experience Intern, you’ll contribute to the company’s digital marketing and user experience strategy, playing a key role in developing brand awareness and building brand equity. Contact lens (CL) wear has been recently recognised as a cause of failure of the stem cells of the eye’s surface. Poor vision and ocular discomfort follow ocular surface (limbal) stem cell failure. This project will examine contact lens wearers for dysfunction of limbal stem cells or damage to their specialised environment. With the increasing prevalence of contact lens wear and the use of contact lenses for stem cell replacement therapies, investigation of stem cell damage with contact lens wear has the potential to save sight, improve contact lens design and optimise stem cell replacement therapies.

– Keeping up-to-date with the latest social media and fashion trends
– Being proactive and continuously presenting new ideas for Instagram posts and creative content

– Conducting competitor research
– Monitoring customer feedback

Intern training and tasks to include:

– Social Media – using Hootsuite, creating content and posts
– Social Media Influencer outreach – building and maintaining influencer relationships
– Brandbassador – recruiting, selecting and managing ambassadors for the brand
– Marketing Strategy – researching influencer and affiliate program opportunities, presenting recommendations to the company founders, reporting on weekly progress, proposing budgets for each influencer

Intern should have a good eye for minimalistic style with creative skills and interest in art and culture. Intern responsibilities to include:

– Managing social media channels, creating and presenting social media strategies
– Researching blog posts and blog writing
– Writing scripts for informative content videos, video editing
– Creating email newsletters using Squarespace and MailChimp
– Auditing the website for SEO and presenting improvements
