About Interning in Thailand
Thailand earned its reputation as one of the premier tourist destinations in the world through its gorgeous landscape, beautiful culture, relaxed lifestyle, and the truly warm-hearted nature of its people. Students and graduates who choose to do an internship in this Southeast Asian destination have the opportunity to build their resume through meaningful work experience in a growing market. World Endeavors’ site in the city of Bangkok offers a wide range of internship options, from environmental conservation to international business to architecture. On weekends and holidays, interns can take advantage of affordable travel to explore the many attractions Thailand has to offer.
Interns can expect to work side by side with local colleagues, receive direction from a manager or staff member, and behave just as one would in a real job. On weekends or after work hours, interns engage in a host of activities depending on each participant’s tastes. Interns share meals with new friends or host family members, take in cultural events, explore the city, or even take day or weekend trips outside of the area. World Endeavors provides a list of possible activities in the area and the World Endeavors local coordinator can also function as an ever present guide and ambassador to the area.

I assumed that a language barrier would mean that I did most of my work alone, but everyone was so willing to communicate with me. I feel like living abroad helps to spark creative ways of communication and learning.
