Scotland has maintained a unique identity within the United Kingdom. There are castles and pubs, haggis and whiskey in this small land, not to mention 790 islands in the icy waters of the Atlantic. On a hilly site running down to the sea, the city of Edinburgh provides easy access to all the cultural, social, shopping and other facilities expected of a capital, while also offering plenty of opportunities to sample Scotland's fine unspoiled countryside, seashore and mountains, all within easy reach of the city.
About Scotland
The Scottish highlands have a magical beauty that permeates not only the landscape but also the Scottish people and their culture. It would be difficult to find friendlier, more welcoming people than Scottish locals. Edinburgh is famous on the theater scene as home to several annual festivals that draw internationally renowned performing groups as well as local talent. Edinburgh’s characteristic architecture of impermeable castles and forts reveal its rich history as a nation within the United Kingdom. The University of Edinburgh provides a world class education and courses in a wide variety of academic fields with a distinctly Scottish touch.
World Endeavors offers semester or year-long study programs in Scotland designed to meet the academic needs and cultural goals of students seeking an international education experience.
