The World Endeavors Study Abroad in Bali program takes place in Kabupaten Badung, Bali, just outside the bustling Denpasar City. Udayana University is the #1 ranked university in Bali and among the top ten universities in Indonesia. Its location outside of the city center places Udayana in a quiet neighborhood with an international and youthful community, and in closer proximity to the world’s best beaches than other nearby universities. Udayana has a spacious, well-maintained and well-equipped campus with lecturers who are experts in their fields. The university offers an incredible international program for students from abroad called the Bali International Program of Asian Studies (BIPAS). This includes bachelor’s level courses in Economics and Business, Health Sciences, Engineering, and many more captivating faculties including an Indonesian language course.
Program Overview
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Bali is home to iconic rice terraces, sacred temples, world-class surf breaks, and jungle-coated volcanic mountains – a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Not only is the program at Udayana University one of the most affordable study abroad programs offered in Bali, but international students will be able to take specialized courses taught completely in English alongside Balinese and other international students.
REQUIREMENTS
- Scanned certificate of the latest attended school (in English) or scanned of academic record from home university or the last attended school (in English)
- Valid passport – must have 18 months validity for 6 months study, 24 months validity for 1 year study
- Copy of your passport (photo page)
- Most students will be required to obtain a visa or residence permit. World Endeavors staff will walk you through this process!
Location
The island of Bali in Indonesia’s Lesser Sunda Islands is a premier tourist destination, and it’s no secret why; sun-kissed white sand beaches, perfect tropical weather all year, breathtaking geography, and a strong, unique culture all make Bali a desirable addition to your bucket list. There are countless things to see and do around the island. Take Ubud, for example: an idyllic village in the hinterlands of the capital city of Denpasar boasting art museums, ornate temples, a monkey sanctuary, and scenic hiking trails through the jungle. The west coast of Denpasar is home to one of the island’s main draws: a pristine stretch of coastline lined with boutique restaurants and cafes and vivacious nightlife. The Bukit Peninsula south of Denpasar is another must-see, with more top-quality beaches, museums, and temples. The more adventurous will find a welcome challenge in the hike up Mount Batur, a 5,633-foot volcano on the north side of the island with sweeping views of a sleepy lagoon and bucolic jungle villages.
Housing
Students typically live in accommodations shared with 4 to 10 other students located close to campus. Students share bathrooms and have fully furnished kitchens and living space. Housing is typically shared among international students, so participants have the opportunity to get to know people from all over the world who are coming together to study in this beautiful country.
Life in Denpasar
Unlike the serene beach villages that are typically highlighted in photos, Denpasar is an energetic and vibrant city. Soaked in Balinese culture from its traditional markets, local cuisine, historical sites, and architecture, it also offers a modern urban lifestyle, making this one of the top destinations to live, study, and work in Bali. Although you’ll be immersed in the daily life hustle and bustle of the city, the picturesque beaches are just a stone’s throw away!

Students will then choose from a collection of undergraduate courses ranging from International Business, Communications, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, and more. This program also offers a small range of Masters-level courses.
Our program also includes various cultural workshops and excursions. Workshop topics include traditional Balinese costumes, Palm leaf ornaments, Traditional healing and Balinese cooking.
