About Interning in Chile
Chile is an ideal location for interns who wish to immerse themselves in Spanish language while gaining hands on work experience in their industry. Chile is one of South America’s most beautiful and varied countries, with breathtaking coastlines, fertile valleys, and lush forests, as well as striking desert landscapes. Chile is also one of South America’s most developed economies, attracting investment and trade from all over the world. Interns get the best of both worlds in Chile, with international work experience and the laid back pace of life that comes with living in such a beautiful place.
Interns can expect to work side by side with local colleagues, receive direction from a manager or staff member, and behave just as one would in a real job. On weekends or after work hours, interns engage in a host of activities depending on each participant’s tastes. Interns share meals with new friends or host family members, take in cultural events, explore the city, or even take day or weekend trips outside of the area. World Endeavors provides a list of possible activities in the area and the World Endeavors local coordinator can also function as an ever present guide and ambassador to the area.
Language Training
World Endeavors’ Internship in Chile program includes high-quality language training throughout the duration of the program. Interns take 90 minutes of Spanish language classes each day before heading to their internship, and they benefit from small class sizes and a range of levels of instruction from beginning through advanced.
