For many visitors, experiencing Italy means engaging in a quest for “la dolce vita,” or the sweet life. Whether you call it sweetness, beauty, or pleasure, Italy is a country that is best digested by the senses. Here cuisine is celebrated and slowly and lovingly created, art is treasured and legendary, and traditions are reassuring rituals of life. From the towering Alps of the north, to the gently rolling vineyards of Tuscany, to the sun-baked beaches of the Mediterranean, there is a piece of “la dolce vita” for everyone.
About Italy
If the chance to savor the freshest, most authentic Italian food isn’t enough of a lure, Italy’s contributions to just about every aspect of international history and culture, including art, architecture, and fashion, are equally as compelling on the long list of reasons to begin planning your trip. Italians are both warm and incredibly passionate about their culture, and visitors can’t help but absorb some of this passion as well.

During my time abroad I gained experience living outside of my comfort zone. I gained a love for Italian food and the Italian language as well as the people, culture, and lifestyle.
