Guatemala’s indigenous heritage is alive and thriving. Visitors have the opportunity to be immersed in the language, food, music, art and literature of Guatemala, all of which are deeply influenced by indigenous traditions. Culture lovers can explore the country’s many fascinating Mayan ruins and its busy village markets, while naturalists enjoy visiting the country’s lush jungles or scaling one of its many volcanos.

World Endeavors offers immersive volunteer programs in Guatemala designed to bring participants in touch with local people and communities through service projects in wide variety of fields.

 

Our Site

World Endeavors Volunteer in Guatemala projects are located in and around Quetzaltenango (also known as “Xela”), the second most populous city in the country, nestled high among the mountains of the Sierra Madres.
