Sandwiched between the Andes and the Pacific, Chile is a long, meandering country with a distinctive outline on the map, stretching over 2,600 miles north to south and averaging only 109 miles wide. From vast deserts in the north so dry that some soil has escaped rain for hundreds of years to pure blue glaciers and fjords in the south that are home to penguins and whales, Chile is a lesson in contrasts. Add to this numerous cities rich in culture and one can begin to understand the poetry that is Chile.

World Endeavors interns in Chile boost their resumes through challenging real-world work experience at local organizations in a variety of professional fields. Interns also have the opportunity to brush up on their Spanish skills through daily language classes and participate in activities designed with Chilean cultural immersion in mind.
Our Site
World Endeavors’ Internships in Chile program is located in the twin cities of Viña del Mar and Valparaíso, which together make up Chile’s second largest urban area. Viña del Mar is a lush city known as the coastal playground for Chilean families and tourists. In addition to beaches and resorts, the city is green with gardens and palm tree-lined avenues, and is located near Chile’s famed wine country.

I filled my schedule with all sorts of local activities through World Endeavors resources, from salsa dancing to surfing. The experience was unique and independent, and I was able to make it what I wanted.
